Top insider trades (Wed, May 27)

Connor’s Commentary

A handful of very interesting names came in today, including reversals (ie insider flipping from selling to buying) at MercadoLibre (MELI) and Celsius (CELH), and a dip buy at Intuit (INTU). We also have a very rare insider purchase at a semiconductor equipment company that is already up 90% in the last month.

Software stocks held up well yesterday, even with semiconductor stocks up 6%. A couple of months ago, software stocks would’ve been down 3% on a day when semis were up 6% due to AI fears.

This is another sign that AI fears in software might be dissipating (along with the fact that IGV is up 25% from the bottom). This is good news for us, as software stocks have seen a ton of interesting insider buying recently.

No insider trades were flagged as High Signal, but I was super close to adding Enphase Energy (ENPH) to the CEO Portfolio as a pure momentum play on AI-data center power needs. However, the stock is already up 100% in the last month since announcing their new transformer, and the CEO has been buying small amounts of the stock every ~3 months for the last year, so I’m not convinced this purchase wasn't planned in advance.
