• Ford (F) Exec Chairman bought $1.93M. The stock is already on a roll, up 50% in the last year. This is their first purchase in almost 4 years

• CEO at Insulet Corp (PODD) bought $1M (increased holdings by 44%). It’s their first-ever purchase.

• Director at Vertex (VERX) bought $516k. The insider's previous 5 trades were all sales. The former CEO also bought last week.

• Director at e.l.f. Beautry (ELF) bought $464k (2nd largest purchase, out of 12). This purchase increased their listed holdings by 85%.

• Director at First Financial Bankshares (FFIN) bought $338k. First-ever purchase. Two other insiders also bought the stock in the last month.

• Director at CVRx, Inc (CVRX) bought $300k (2nd largest purchase, out of 6). The stock is down 40% in the last 3 months.

• The Director at Global Payments (GPN) bought $100k (4th largest, out of 13). Their previous purchase was over 4.5 years ago. The stock is down over 20% in the last year.

• The CEO at TriSalus Life Sciences (TLSI) bought $125k. 3 other insiders also bought the stock

• The Exec Chairman at Clean Harbors (CLH) sold $28M (largest sale ever, out of 36). The stock is up 34% in the last three months. Three other insiders sold the stock in the last month.

• The CEO at RTX Corp (RTX) sold $13M (largest sale ever, out of 7). The stock is up almost 70% in the last year. 6 other insiders also sold the stock.

• Exec Chairman at Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) sold $10M (6th largest sale, out of 35). The stock is up 52% in the last three months.

• The CEO at MKS Inc (MKSI) bought $7.7M (largest purchase ever, out of 21). The stock is up 150% in the last 6 months. 7 other insiders also sold the stock in the last 30 days.

• Director at Gold(.)com (GOLD) bought $4.38M. It’s their 3rd sale in the last couple of weeks.

Commentary

Yesterday, we saw that the insider trading at software companies is the most bullish it’s been since at least 2010 (link).

I pulled the largest, unscheduled insider trades at software companies so far in Q1:

1. Andreessen Horowitz bought $16M of Navan (NAVN)

2. Voss Capital bought $7M of PAR Technology (PAR) (not really an insider, but a very good fund)

3. Former CEO at Vertex (VERX) bought $5M (stock is down 70% in the last year and 34% in the last 3m). A director also bought $500k.

4. Director at Microsoft (MSFT) bought $2M (stock is down ~20%)

5. Four insiders at Varonis Systems (VRNS) bought $1.18M (stock is down 60% in the last 6 months)

6. The CEO at Sprout Social (SPT) bought $1M (down 34% in the last month)

7. Director at Roper Technologies (ROP) bought $500k (down 40% in the last 6 months)

8. Director at Klaviyo (KVYO) bought $300k (stock is down 35% in the last 3 months)

9. CEO at GitLab (GTLB) bought $125k (stock is down 40% in the last month)

The CEO of ServiceNow (NOW) also announced that he would buy $3M of the stock, but that purchase hasn’t been filed yet.

Who knows when things will turn around in software land, but when they do, these stocks are a good place to start looking for things to buy.
