OKTA led the way for software on Friday, finishing the day up 30%.

It is now up 60% since we added it to the CEO Watcher Portfolio on April 21st. It’s back up to its 5y median EV/S multiple.

Today’s Largest Unscheduled Trades

There were 229 new insider trades filed.

We looked at two very interesting insider purchases at companies with strong tailwinds (an AI-winner and GLP-1s), but passed on both. Weight Watchers (WW) is coming out of restructuring and focusing on GLP-1s, but their customer acquisition costs are high, and their product is more expensive.

Curiosity Stream (CURI) could see some near-term momentum because the CEO is buying, and they may be branded an “AI-winner” as they license their content to the AI labs. However, the licensing revenue is lumpy, the percentage of the revenue that is non-cash barter is increasing, and they are coming up against harder comps next Q. Probably works near-term as a swing trade, but I’d be worried about that licensing rev (though the CEO is buying, which is a positive sign)
