• The CEO and COO at RLI Corp (RLI) bought $400k of the stock. The stock is down 16% in the last 5 months

• CEO at Ally Financial (ALLY) bought $1M of the stock. His only other purchase was almost exactly one year ago

• Fairmount Funds sells $133M of Apogee Therapeutics (APGE) after its 70% run in the last 6 months. It's their first time selling the stock.

• 8 different insiders have now sold J.B. Hunt (JBHT) since December ater it's 40% rise in the last 6 months

• William Lovett sells another $1.4M of Dream Finders (DFH) after taking a few months off from selling

• Chief Accounting Officer at United Community Banks (UCB) sells $425k of the stock (first sale since 2021)

• Insider selling at Planet Labs (PL) has been picking up after its nearly 400% rise in the last year. Now over $20M of sales since October (hasn't slowed the stock down yet)

• Two Executive Vice Presidents at Comerica (CMA) decided to exercise and sell $1.84M of their stock options after the stock’s 60% rise in the last 1y

Commentary

A reader asked for some insight into the Consumer Staples companies with the most insider buying.

First, a quick look at the ratio of unscheduled insider buying v selling since 2017.

The last four quarters have been relatively strong for Consumer Staple companies, but it hasn’t meant much as the Consumer Staples ETF is flat over the last year.

Here are the Consumer Staples stocks with the most unscheduled insider purchasing over the last six months.
