Normally, on Fridays, I share updates on the CEO Watcher Portfolio and High Signal List (and a couple other things) below the “Today’s Largest Unscheduled Trades” section, but I’m out of town and short on time, so I’m going to keep this short and only share the CEO Watcher Portfolio update.

The CEO Watcher Portfolio had a pretty good week of outperformance, with 3.38% returns v 0.14% for the S&P.

This brings the overall performance of the CEO Watcher Portfolio to 27.21% (v 7.31% for the S&P), since we started it at the end of October.

As a reminder, the portfolio performance is actually closer to 32% because a few weeks ago, I accidentally placed a large purchase meant for my personal portfolio in the CEO Watcher Portfolio and had to sell during illiquid pre-market hours, which lost the portfolio 5%.

No insider trades were flagged as High Signal, but I shared my notes on why I passed on National Vision Holdings (EYE) even though it is trading well below its median EV/EBITDA multiple and an insider was buying the post-earnings dip.
