  • Why: The stock has been oscillating between $8 and $10 all year and is currently down near $8. They also have pretty good returns and win rates and this is their biggest purchase by quite a large margin.

🥈 3 Directors at Clene ($CLNN)

Last Friday, three directors at Clene bought the stock at $0.80 which also includes warrants to buy an equal amount of extra stock at $1.10 and $1.50.

The other two times these 3 directors all bought the stock at the same time, the stock popped over the next 90 days (as shown below). (link)

  • 1-year: -24% returns with a 0% win rate (0/2 trades)

  • 90-day: 54% returns with a 100% win rate (2/2 trades)

  • Current Price: $0.82 (+2.5%)

Rating

  • Rating: 7

  • Why: The stock is down ~25% in the last few weeks, multiple directors purchased it, and their 90-day returns have been fantastic the other couple of times they all bought the stock. The two things holding this back are that their overall and 1-year returns are terrible and we don’t have a ton historic data.

🥉 Dustin Moskovits - CEO and Founder of Asana ($ASAN)

Picked up $7.5M more in stock this week (2 purchases). Last week, he also bought $3.6M for the first time since September of last year. His returns are terrible because he was gobbling up shares during 2022 as the stock crashed, but he is the CEO that has bought the most of his own company’s shares (over $1B), so worth he is worth paying attention to. Historic Returns and Win Rate

  • Overall: -44% returns with a 6.5% win rate (2/31 trades)

  • 1-year: -75% returns with a 0% win rate (0/28 trades)

  • 90-day: -25% returns with a 31% win rate (9/29 trades)

Purchase Data (this week)

  • Total Amount Purchased: $7,549,650

  • Purchase Price: $23.62

  • Current Price: $22.74 (-4%)

Rating

  • Rating: 5

  • Why: This one really comes down to personal preference. His overall returns are terrible, but he has bought over a billion dollars worth of the stock over the last two years as the price continued to fall. He clearly has extreme confidence that the company will turn around, but has done a terrible job timing it. Is it possible that the bottom is finally in?
