Hello!

I hope your new year is starting off swimmingly!

We launched a simple website with the only leaderboard of top CEOs (based on their 1-year returns on stock purchases)! You can check it out here.

Top CEO Trades of the Week

Snehal Patel - CEO at (link)

Snehal is currently the number 1 overall CEO that we track in terms of 1-year returns.

He averages 487% on his 1-year returns with a 50% hit rate. Now, he has only made 6 purchases that are older than a year, but he also averages almost 200% 90-day returns (on 21 trades) and 60% all-time returns (on 28 trades).

He started buying up $GLSI stock in December of 2021 (at $27.16), continued buying throughout 2022 (at prices all the way down to $7.13), and now has started off 2023 by buying even more (at $15.19). He has positive returns on the last 16 trades he made in 2022 dating back to June and this is also the biggest purchase he has made since he made a $265,00 purchase back in June.

Leighton Thomson - CEO at (link)

Leighton kicked off a 10b5-1 plan to start buying up stock every ~4 days back on December 14th when the stock price was just under $91. He has now spent just over $375,000 across 7 purchases at an average price of $85.67. The current price is $85.37, so he is down a tiny bit so far.

However, back in 2017, he spent the last 6 months of that year buying $7M worth of stock and averaging 90-day returns of 13%, 1-year returns of 43%, and all-time returns of 67%, which has netted him almost $5M in profits overall on those trades.

Looking at 2016, he also bought up stock every month except for January. He wasn’t as successful over the 90-day (5% returns) and 1-year periods (6% returns), but still has fantastic overall returns (56%) on the $15M worth of stock he bought that year.

Overall, he has made money on 28 of his 31 trades (90% win rate) with average overall returns of 97%. He isn’t quite as successful on shorter timeframes, but he still has 28% 1-year returns (with a 63% win rate) and 12% 90-day returns (with a 63% win rate).

Richard Hermanns - CEO at (link)

Richard is another top 10 investor (based on 1-year returns) that made a trade this week, and he just made his largest purchase ever ($94,709) and his first purchase since June of 2022.

He has an insane 100% win rate overall on his purchases (35/35) and a 100% 1-year win rate (27/27). However, he is terrible in the short term for some reason. He only has positive 90-day returns on 4/34 (12%) trades.

His long-term returns are also incredible: 158% 1-year returns and 130% all-time returns. However, as you probably guessed, his 90-day returns are much worse with an average 90-day return of -6%.

The last chunk of stock he purchased was $183,000 across 7 purchases during May and June of 2022. Sticking true to his history, his 90-day returns were only 2%, but his all-time returns on those trades are 24% in just 6-7 months.

Other CEO Trades

Jack Hightower - CEO at (link)

Jack has only made three purchases (and two of them were in the last two weeks), so we don’t have much history on him.

He made his first purchase on April 5th, 2021, when he bought over $1.8M worth of stock at an average price of $6.62. That trade has crushed it with 90-day returns of 65% and overall returns of 232%.

His other two trades happened in the last two weeks when he bought just under $4M of stock at an average price of $22.

Total Amount Purchased: $3,989,320

Current Price: $24 (+9%)

Have a good weekend!
